Dr. Adam Jacobs grew up in Manteca, CA where it is not uncommon for it to be in the upper 90’s and 100’s during the summer. It was this hot weather and his love for wakeboarding which got him into chiropractic. He badly injured his low back wakeboarding one day and when nothing else fixed him, chiropractic did. It was this experience which changed his focus from traditional western medicine toward alternative hands on medicine. It was chiropractic care which helped him stay active and play college basketball. Dr. Jacobs attended UC Santa Cruz and received his undergraduate degree in Biology, from there he attended Palmer West College of Chiropractic, in San Jose, CA specializing in sports chiropractic. Upon graduation, Dr. Jacobs spent a winter in Park City UT, completing an internship at a chiropractic clinic that treated winter Olympic athletes. Before moving to San Francisco he worked in two different clinics in the South Bay, serving athletes and business professionals. He also was part of the onsite chiropractic team for the San Jose Ballet. In 2008 Dr. Jacobs was hired as the head treating Doctor at Executive Express Chiropractic, where he helped build up that practice and trained four different associate doctors. In 2011 he founded his own clinic; SF Custom Chiropractic. In 2012, 2013, and 2014 he was named Top 5 Chiropractors in the Bay Area by ABC 7 A-list and in 2015 he was named the Best in the Bay.
Dr. Jacobs is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP), Functional Movement Systems™ (F.M.S.) practitioner, and is full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and specializes in treatment of headaches, sports injuries and extremity conditions.
